Coming from a non-medical family background, Dr. Narayanan Balakrishnan discovered his passion for ophthalmology during medical school. A defining moment came when his grandmother lost vision in one eye to glaucoma, then received treatment at Sankara Nethralaya that saved the vision in her remaining eye. The gratitude in her eyes became a lifelong inspiration.

Years later, Dr. Narayanan trained at the same institution and specialized in glaucoma, bringing the journey full circle. His purpose became even more personal when he diagnosed his own mother with glaucoma and continues to care for her today.

Aryan Eye Care began as a small clinic in Kolathur and has grown into a state-of-the-art premium eye care centre. The growth is positioned not as a business milestone, but as a tribute to the trust patients have placed in the centre.
